Oman Post and UVL Robotics conducted Drone Delivery Experiment - pilot experiment for drone solutions technology for 2 different use cases hosted at the Sultanate of Oman from 12th January 2020 to 18th January 2020.

In the scope of the agreed series of experiments between Oman Post and UVL Robotics parties jointly conducted the following: Delivery of parcel (weight ~2.5 kg) for Oman post in the area of Nizwa (Sultanate of Oman) where 2,735 meters were flown by the drone in 4 minutes 05 seconds in comparison with an average car drive time of 16 mins for the same distance.

Delivery of parcel (weight ~4.5 kg) for Oman post in the area of Muscat (Sultanate of Oman) where 3,250 meters return flight was conducted by the drone in a total of 8 minutes 50 seconds in comparison with an average car drive time of 12-15 mins to perform the same route.

    The main manufacturing and R&D centre is currently in Moscow (Russia) but for logistics optimization purposes components can be shipped in the country of the client location and assembled there by our engineering team.

    We use a combination of our own + 3rd party software systems with our specialists doing APIs and SDK integrations adopting the systems for clients’ individual requirements.

  7. How does the principle of communication and navigation of UAS work?

    Navigation and fleet management software makes it easy to identify who is flying within a given airspace area, publish airspace information, set geofences, view flight plans, and respond to authorization requests automatically.

  8. How safe is the UAS?

    Flight safety is our top priority. The main UAS systems have different redundancy levels, ensuring high reliability and effectively reducing the probability of failure of control systems to zero. Unlike conventional drones, our UAVs will not return to the starting point in case of emergency situations, which can be dangerous, but will automatically decide to land at intermediate reserve points that are safe to land. These points are built by us in the route of the UAV.

    We provide the system of delivery service by drones on a monthly lease model. Other forms of cooperation are discussed individually.
